Facebook Launches Facebook Questions – Ask Anything You Want!

no thumb

Facebook launched a service that is very similar to “Yahoo Answers”, a place where users can ask questions that can be answered by the entire Facebook community. It’s usual to see users posting questions on their wall, so Facebook has created a “special” space where people can ask questions they want and have an entire community of Facebook users to respond.

Facebook Launches Facebook Questions
The new feature is in beta since July and has gradually been extended to more and more users. Questions can also be performed as surveys, where you ask a question and then leave a number of options for people to vote for the best answer or their opinion. Also, you can follow questions that grab your attention and receive notifications every time someone suggests an answer to that question.

One thing to keep in mind is that Facebook Questions has no privacy settings, all questions are public and visible to anyone on the Internet. So all Facebook users will see your question and answers.

  1. a lot of people are already fed up of this new feature spamming up their newsfeeds. for those who think that way, theres a great browser extension called FB Purity, that lets you filter out the noise from Facebook Questions and other Facebook Features that spam up our feeds like applications etc. google “FB Purity” if you want to check it out

    1. Spammers always ruin it for everyone that is really going to use this. But it’s a good thing there are apps that will help filter them, but is still has a bad effect since they won’t be able to see the interesting questions/answers that are non-spam.

  2. Hi Gustavo,

I haven’t tried that feature yet. Hopefully it will improve the Fb help option. So far, whenever I was looking for more advanced issues related to FB I was not able to find them in FB but outside researching some blogs.

    1. You will usually find more help about Facebook on blogs, than on Facebook itself. I believe Facebook Questions will be more for general lifestyle questions.

  3. When I first got the Facebook Questions feature I thought it was pretty cool. But now, it just spams about my wall and there’s way to turn them off unless you hide all your friends posts. What’s up with that? Must of the questions aren’t really important either…. 🙁

  4. Interesting, quite interesting. The only problem that I have is that all of my friends are dumb and I wouldn’t really trust them to give the answer to the question 2+2. What does that say about me?
