  1. I believe the AKF is alright for frequent users of Amazon as a convenience tool of proprietary purchase. It was brilliant of AMAZON to get you to spend $200 to buy their electronic order notepad! It would have been revolutionary to the masses if it hadn’t been all about Amazon. Speaking as a low end buyer who doesn’t always feel a need to buy cutting edge technology, I’ve just ordered the Lenovo A1 Ideapad for the same price as the Kindle Fire. I like the practicality of a 7.5 x 4.5 inch tablet that fits comfortably in my pocket. I already own a 10 inch netbook which I carry in a backpack. There are some tradeoffs of course, but I will have the option to purchase apps wherever I want. It also has fwd and rear facing cameras, and off-line GPS. I’ll not repeat the features and specs here as you can check those out yourself.

    1. Vincent,

Thanks for sharing your experience with other tablets.

I believe the Amazon Kindle Fire tablet it’s great for its prize, in fact I think it’s under-priced. But Amazon’s plan is to get people to purchase it at a cheaper price than others, but will most likely make more money by selling ebooks, etc. that will be compatible with their tablet.

But I agree that it will only be perfect for frequent Amazon users and that there are alternative options for users that are looking for a different experience.
